Ambulance for Patna
Through 2025 Rotary MK embarked on a fundraising drive to raise funds to help the people in Patna in North East India to purchase an ambulance.

in the first quarter of 2026 our ambulance was finally due to handed over to the charity, Being Helper Foundation, in Patna, NE India.
This marks the culmination of our fundraising efforts to support their charitable work, enabling them to better serve the local community with reliable medical transport and emergency assistance. Recent Past President and project lead, Mukesh Kumar, originally from Patna, kicked-off the year of fundraising with an ambitious trek to Everest Base Camp. In a similar way to the UK’s Air Ambulance service, the charity Being Helper Foundation runs a 24hr Road Ambulance service for the poor, rural areas around Patna which are inadequately served by public ambulance services. Their need for resources is immense as demand grows so we were absolutely delighted to hit the £9,000 fundraising target needed to buy it. |
