We've been honoured to work with some truly life-changing local charities and good causes across Milton Keynes over the years. We helped with practical projects and funding for others, helping people from all ages and abilities.

Planting at Kilkenny House

Planting trees and bushes to brighten up the patio at Kilkenny House sheltered housing in Westcroft.
"The plants you put in for us have been a mass of colour and the choice of a centrepiece has been the crown, it has produced four stems with at least eight heads of red flowers on each. Thank you again. Many of our tenants have had a lot of pleasure from the flowers."

Rotary Foundation Projects

Since 1988 Rotary Foundation has been slowly ridding the world of the Polio virus.
The continent of Africa was declared Polio Free in June 2020 by the World Health Organisation, leaving a small area of Pakistan and Afghanistan where a few cases remain. We cannot give up now. Rotary MK celebrated World Polio Day on October 24th 2020 by planting 4000 purple crocuses in areas around Milton Keynes, including the front entrance of Milton Keynes’ prestigious university hospital.

Rotary Children's Fun Day

Every year we take around 20 students and their carers from Redway Special school to Thrift Farm for the day, as part of the Rotary Children's Fun Day.
It's a lovely day for children with disabilities to meet lots of friendly animals in a warm and friendly environment. The farm is a great spot and we recommend it for anyone, grown-ups and children alike, looking for a low stress day out. |
